So far, what's been released is a title, trailer and, well, promise of greatness to come. With details so thin on the ground, the absolute earliest we'd expect to see a Starfield game would be 2021. 4 years between Morrowind and Oblivion, 5 years between Oblivion and Skyrim. We've got a ways to go, and Fallout 4 will definitely be out before an Elder Scrolls VI.
We aim to bring the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to a new generation of gamers and re-introduce it to long time fans of the series. We are currently in the process of porting and rebuilding Cyrodiil along with all of its quests, locations and characters into Skyrim and Skyrim: Special Edition. As Skyrim approaches its 10-year anniversary, and as gaming enters into yet another new generation of consoles with the Xbox Series X and PS5, Skyrim's legacy may finally be coming to an end. Although there is no direct sequel to Skyrim, there is a nice succesor to the genre: Dark Souls. If you think about it, Skyrim 1 is just modded version of Dark Souls (without the hassel of figuring out how to even INSTALL the mods to Skyrim 1 without it crashing). I know Dark Souls is old, but trust me, it's good enough to be a sequel.

Bethesda has recently posted a full-res wallpaper and official trailer for Dragonborn, a new The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim game add-on that will be available for Xbox 360 on December 4. Dragonborn follows the Dawnguard and Hearthfire add-ons and (this time) has your character set out on an adventure to take down the first Dragonborn, which was a dragon beast that once devoured dragons rather than serve them. There is no word yet on when the Dragonborn add-on will arrive for the PC or PlayStation 3. Although dragon mounts have not been confirmed yet, the footage does clearly show a player character getting onto and flying through the sky on a dragon.
